1998 White House Historical Association Buchanan Christmas Ornament

1998 Official White House Historical Association Ornament. honors the life and the administration of James Buchanan, the 15th President of the US. The eagle and shield design is found on the glassware Andrew Jackson purchased for the White House. President Buchanan was the last president to the Jackson pattern.
Wreath of white magnolias and red camellias frame the white porcelain eagle.
Ornament is Made in America. Individually gift boxed. Proceeds from the sale of White House Association ornaments are used to fund the acquisition of historical furnishings and artwork for the permanent White House collection and to assist in the preservation of the public rooms in the President’s House.
