Santa Claus gets so many letters each year,
Most asking for presents, or spreading good cheer.
But over the years, Santa's received more and more
From kids in the U.S., and this is what for...
Untied States children keep asking St.Nick,
If he'd help out their nation, and help it out quick,
By running for Presidnet in 2016-
He'd be the best Head of State we've ever seen!
After all, he is patient, loving, and kind,
His reputation for giving is tip-top of mind!
His North Pole toy factory is a well-oiled machine,
And for a new challenge, we hope Santa is keen.
Who better to have in that great, big White House
Than the Jolly Old Elf and his sweet, lovely spouse?
Santa's helpers could handle the toy making chores,
While Christmas, he'd still make delivery tours.
Santa's platform would focus on what he holds dear:
"Peace on Earth, and Goodwill!" is the slogan we'd hear.
Just imagine a nation more "giving" than "getting"...
Santa's term would be one we'd not soon be forgetting!
With a wink of his eye, and a big "Ho-ho-ho"!
Santa hugged Mrs.Claus and said "Let's have a go!"
He tossed his hat high and started right in
To plan his campaign- he couldn't wait to begin.
At that moment young hearts in the U.S.of A.
Felt a rush and knew "something" had happened that day-
They felt hopeful and happy and exclaimed with delight,
"Santa's running for President! Our future looks bright!"
Up at North Pole, Santa got things in order-
Since he planned to be busy for one year or more!
The elves heard him laugh as he donned his new coat,
"I'd be the next President, if children could vote!"
