The President's House was executed by an unknown artist after a romantic and mid 19th century drawing by the English artist William H. Bartlett. "View from the Tiber", as it was called, depicted the lush foliage on the south grounds of the White House with Tiber Creek in the foreground. The Carter's chose this art for their 1980 Christmas Card. it read: "With best wishes from our family for a happy holiday season. Jimmy Carter Rosalynn Carter." American Greetings.
