2004 Official GW Bush Christmas Card - The Red Room. After months of a fruitless search for an artist to paint the art for their 2004 card, Laura Bush viewed fellow Texan, Cindi Holt’s existing rendering of the Red Room and thought it “the perfect room for a Christmas card. Holt made modifications to her 60 x 50 painting, added a music stand to match the carved lyre on the oak card table in the room. Holt focused on the French Savonnerie rug and lit up the room with a fire, candles and candelabra. Laura Bush chose scripture from Psalm 95:2 " Let us come before Him with Thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” Music was likewise included in their greeting: “May songs of joy fill your home with warmth and your heart with happiness this holiday season. 2004." With the Bush's reelection a success, Hallmark printed 2 million cards to send to family, friends, campaign workers, supporters, government officials and foreign dignitaries. 5 x 7" unsigned.
