Mount Vernon 2011 Ornament features "The Prayer at Valley Forge" by Arnold Friberg painted to commemorate the bicentennial in 1976. This dramatic image of General Washington humbly kneeling in the snow, praying for the deliverance of his troops and his country, eloquently conveys his unflagging commitment to and faith in the Revolutionary cause. Proceeds of this ornament are used to restore and maintain Mount Vernon and to educate the public about the leadership and character of America's first president. Gift box includes story card. 24 KT.
