2000 View of the South Portico Ornament

$29.95
The White House was first occupied by President John Adams in 1800. In 1947, Harry Truman decided to add a second floor balcony behind the pillars of the South Portico to improve the appearance of the south front and make the family quarters more livable. The balcony was completed in 1948. The cost was $16,050.74 and was paid for by President Truman by saving money from the household account. Gray gift Box.
